Electrical contractors for Oxfordshire and surrounding counties
Established in 2014, we have built our reputation on quality workmanship, reliability and a commitment to meeting the needs of every client. Our experience spans everything from smaller domestic electrical jobs to large-scale office and warehouse installations, allowing us to deliver a professional, dependable service whatever the size or complexity of the project.
While our commercial capabilities remain at the heart of what we do, we are now dedicating more time and resources to smaller domestic electrical works for homeowners and landlords. With its own dedicated section of the business, our domestic service makes it easier for customers to access reliable electrical support for their homes and rental properties, with the same high standards and attention to detail that define Adtec.
Whether you're a homeowner looking for help with an electrical job, a landlord maintaining a rental property or a business planning a major installation, Adtec Electrical Services Ltd has the experience and hands-on approach to help.
Local service. Commercial capability. Dedicated domestic support. Quality you can rely on.

Find out moreOn the commercial side we also handle small industrial work: three-phase supplies to machinery, sub-mains to new areas of a unit, and high-bay lighting. In homes, the jobs we are asked about most are a consumer unit upgrade (the consumer unit is what most people call the fuse box), a rewire of an older property, or tracking down a fault that keeps tripping the power.
How a job runs
Large or small, every job follows the same six steps, so you always know what comes next.
- 01
Enquiry
You call or send the form. We ask a few questions about the building, what you need and when.
- 02
Visit or survey
For most jobs we look in person. For project work we can price from drawings and a specification.
- 03
Written quote
A clear price and scope in writing, with anything excluded spelt out rather than left for later.
- 04
The work
Carried out to BS 7671, the UK wiring standard, with the site kept safe and the power off only when needed.
- 05
Certificate
Tested on completion, with the right certificate for the job handed over for your records.
- 06
Tidy
Dust sheets lifted, offcuts cleared and the area left as we found it, ready for decorators or occupants.
The certificate matters more than people expect. New circuits and larger alterations come with an Electrical Installation Certificate, smaller additions with a Minor Works Certificate, and an existing installation can be assessed with a condition report. Our testing and certification page explains which is which. Keep them somewhere safe, because buyers, insurers and letting agents ask for them.

Where we work
From Lyford we reach most of south Oxfordshire and the edges of Wiltshire and Berkshire without a long drive. Day to day that means Wantage, Grove, Faringdon, Abingdon, Didcot, Oxford, Witney, Swindon and Newbury, plus the villages between them.
For domestic and smaller jobs we stay fairly close to Wantage, so we can get back quickly if something needs a second look. Commercial work takes us further, generally within about 35 miles. The areas page has a short note on each town.
